Betting & Settlement Rules

1.1 These Betting & Settlement Rules (the Rules) apply to every wager placed with Betabets.CO, operated by Graham William (ABN 53 682 006 126), licensed by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) under licence No. VIC-BM-2024-1375.

1.2 The Rules form part of the Terms & Conditions. Where a specific rule in this document conflicts with a general provision of the Terms & Conditions, the specific rule applies to the settlement of the wager concerned.

1.3 Where a market carries its own written rules on the Platform (for example a stated result source or a special settlement note), those market rules apply in addition to, and take precedence over, the general rules in this document.

1.4 Where these Rules do not address a situation, Betabets.CO settles in accordance with the rules of the relevant governing body and, where relevant, the standard Australian wagering industry practice for that sport or code.

1.5 Betabets.CO may accept, refuse, limit or void any wager in accordance with Section 10 of the Terms & Conditions. Nothing in these Rules limits any right the Regulator has to direct how a wager is to be settled.

4.1 Wagers are settled on the Official Result declared by the governing body of the sport or code once the Event is complete. Unless a Market states otherwise, the result sources are: AFL — the Australian Football League; NRL — the National Rugby League; Football — the competition organiser (for example the Australian Professional Leagues for the A-League, FIFA or UEFA for international matches); Cricket — the match officials and the competition organiser; Tennis — the ATP, WTA or ITF as applicable; Basketball — the NBL or NBA as applicable; Racing — the stewards and the relevant Principal Racing Authority.

4.2 Settlement is based on the result at the moment the governing body declares it. Later changes arising from disciplinary action, drug testing, appeals, protests upheld after correct weight (racing) or amendments to official records do not affect settlement, except as set out in Section 14 for racing.

4.3 Where official results are not available, Betabets.CO settles on the result reported by the Event's official website or broadcast; if that is unavailable, on other reliable independent sources. A Market is not settled until a reliable result is available.

4.4 Statistics-based Markets (for example totals, margins, first scorer) are settled on the statistics published by the governing body or its official statistics provider.

5.1 Betabets.CO aims to settle a Market as soon as practicable after the Official Result is available. Winnings are credited to the Customer's account automatically.

5.2 Where a Market has been settled in error — including on an incorrect result, at the wrong price, or on the wrong Selection — Betabets.CO may re-settle the Market. Any amount credited in error may be reversed from the Customer's account, and any amount owing is credited. The Customer is notified of any correction.

5.3 Where a reversal would take a Customer's balance below zero, Betabets.CO may recover the difference from subsequent deposits or winnings, or request repayment.

5.4 A Customer who believes a wager has been settled incorrectly should contact Betabets.CO within 30 days of settlement with the bet reference (Section 18).

7.1 If an Event is Postponed and is completed within 48 hours of the original Scheduled Start, all wagers stand. If it is not completed within 48 hours, all wagers on that Event are void, unless the Market rules state a different period.

7.2 If an Event is Abandoned after it has started, Markets whose outcome has already been determined at the time of abandonment (for example first scorer where a score has been recorded) are settled; all other Markets are void unless the Event is completed within the 48-hour period in rule 7.1.

7.3 A match in AFL, NRL or basketball that is Abandoned is settled on the Official Result only where the governing body declares an official result for the match. Where the governing body awards a result or the competition points for reasons other than play (for example a forfeit), Match Winner wagers are void.

7.4 Cricket: a limited-overs match is settled on the Official Result, including a result reached by the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method. A match with no result (no ball bowled, or no result declared) is void. A tie is settled under Section 9. A Test or first-class match that is drawn is settled on the draw where a draw is offered; otherwise Match Winner is void.

7.5 Tennis: if a match is not completed (retirement, walkover or disqualification), Match Winner wagers are void unless the match is completed within 48 hours. Set and game Markets whose outcome has been determined are settled.

7.6 Football: matches are settled on the result at the end of regulation time (90 minutes plus stoppage time) unless the Market states otherwise (Section 11). A match Abandoned before full time is void unless it is completed within 48 hours.

7.7 Racing: a race that is Abandoned, postponed to another day, or moved to another track is void for all wagers, except where the meeting is transferred and the race is run on the same day at a different venue with the same field, in which case wagers stand.

8.1 Team sports: a change of venue does not void a wager unless the match moves to the away team's home ground, in which case Match Winner, line and margin Markets are void. Named-player and team Markets stand regardless of team selection changes.

8.2 Individual sports: a change to the announced opponent, draw or line-up voids wagers on the affected Market. A change of playing surface in tennis voids nothing.

8.3 A change of format that materially affects the Market (for example a match reduced from best-of-five to best-of-three sets, or a limited-overs match changed to a different number of overs before the first ball) voids wagers on Markets affected by the change; a reduction in overs during a match is settled under rule 7.4.

8.4 Where the Scheduled Start of an Event is stated incorrectly on the Platform, wagers stand provided they were placed before the actual start of the Event.

10.1 A Palpable Error is an obvious mistake in a price, line, Market or Selection, including: (a) a price that is materially different from the prices available in the general market at the time the wager was placed; (b) a price that is the reverse of the price intended, or offered on the wrong Selection; (c) a Market offered after its result was known, or on an Event that had already started or been cancelled; (d) an incorrect line, total, handicap or start time.

10.2 Where a wager has been accepted on a Palpable Error, Betabets.CO may void the wager and return the stake, or settle the wager at the price or terms that were correct at the time of acceptance. The Customer is notified of the action taken.

10.3 Betabets.CO may void any wager where it reasonably believes the Customer, or a person acting with them, was aware of the error and placed the wager to take advantage of it.

10.4 Nothing in this section prevents a Customer from escalating a dispute under Section 18.

11.1 AFL: Match Winner, line and total Markets include extra time where it is played under the competition rules (for example finals). Where a home-and-away match is drawn and no extra time is played, Match Winner without a Draw Selection is void; Markets with a Draw Selection settle on the Draw.

11.2 NRL: Match Winner includes golden point extra time where it is played. Where a match ends in a draw after any extra time, Match Winner without a Draw Selection is void. Line and total Markets include extra time.

11.3 Basketball (NBL and NBA): all Markets include overtime unless the Market states otherwise.

11.4 Football: all Markets are settled on the result at the end of regulation time, including stoppage time, unless the Market expressly states that extra time or a penalty shoot-out counts. "To qualify" and "to lift the trophy" Markets include extra time and penalties.

11.5 Cricket: a Super Over or bowl-out is not counted for Match Winner unless the Market states otherwise; a tie is settled under Section 9.

11.6 Tennis: a tie-break counts as a game within the set in which it is played; a match tie-break played in place of a final set counts as one game and one set for settlement purposes.

12.1 AFL: results are settled on the score at the end of the match including extra time where played. Margin Markets are settled on the official final margin. Player Markets require the player to take the field; a player who does not take the field voids the Market for that player only.

12.2 NRL: results are settled on the score at the end of the match including golden point where played. First try scorer Markets: if the selected player does not take the field before the first try is scored, the wager is void.

12.3 Football (A-League and international): results are settled on the score at the end of regulation time. Both Teams to Score and totals are settled on goals scored in regulation time only. Own goals count for the team credited by the competition organiser.

12.4 Cricket (Big Bash and international): Match Winner is settled on the Official Result. Top-scorer Markets are settled on the official scorecard; where two players tie, Section 9 applies. A match reduced in overs is settled where an Official Result is declared under the competition rules.

12.5 Tennis (ATP and WTA): Match Winner is settled on the official result. Where a player retires or is disqualified before completion, rule 7.5 applies. Set Markets are settled on sets completed at the time of any retirement only where the Market outcome has been determined.

12.6 Basketball (NBL and NBA): all Markets include overtime. Player Markets require the player to take the court; otherwise the wager on that player is void.

14.1 Dead heats are settled under rule 9.1: the stake is divided by the number of runners dead heating for the relevant placing and paid at full odds.

14.2 Protests and objections: wagers are settled on the placings declared by the stewards at the time correct weight (or the equivalent) is declared, after any protest lodged before that declaration has been decided. A protest, appeal or inquiry decided after correct weight does not change the settlement of any wager.

14.3 Where a race is declared a no-race, is Abandoned, or is re-run, all wagers on the original race are void.

14.4 Where a meeting is Abandoned after some races have been run, wagers on races completed stand; wagers on races not run are void. A race postponed to a later date is void.

14.5 Where a race is transferred to another venue and run on the same day with the same field, wagers stand. A change in track condition or a change of distance does not void wagers.

14.6 Where the Official Result is amended by the stewards before correct weight (for example a placing changed on a review of the finish), wagers are settled on the amended result.

15.1 A Same Race Multi combines two to four runners from a single race, each backed to finish in a nominated position or better (Win, Top 2, Top 3, Top 4). The price of the multi is the product of the Leg prices at the time of acceptance and is shown before Place Bet.

15.2 Only one position may be nominated per runner, and every Leg must be from the same race. A Same Race Multi is settled as a single wager: it wins only if every Leg is successful.

15.3 If a runner in a Same Race Multi is scratched before the race, the whole Same Race Multi is void and the stake returned. Late scratchings and non-starters are treated the same way.

15.4 Dead heats: a Leg that dead heats for a position within its nominated range is settled as a winning Leg with the stake divided under rule 9.1 for that Leg only.

15.5 Top 2, Top 3 and Top 4 Legs are settled on the official placings regardless of field size; a race with fewer runners than a nominated position (for example Top 4 in a five-runner field after scratchings) has that Leg settled on the runners that actually finished, and the multi is void where the position cannot be determined.

15.6 Deductions under rule 13.4 do not apply to a Same Race Multi; instead the whole multi is void where any Leg runner is scratched.

16.1 A Multi Bet combines two or more Selections from different Events into one wager. The price is the product of the Leg prices at acceptance. A Multi Bet wins only if every Leg is successful.

16.2 Where a Leg is void under these Rules, that Leg is settled at odds of 1.00 and the Multi Bet is settled on the remaining Legs. A Multi Bet in which every Leg is void is void.

16.3 Where a Leg is affected by a dead heat, that Leg's price is reduced in proportion to the dead heat rule in Section 9 before the multi price is calculated.

16.4 Selections from the same Event, or from related contingencies (where the outcome of one Selection affects the probability of another), cannot be combined in a Multi Bet. Where such a combination is accepted in error, Betabets.CO may void the wager or settle the related Legs as one Leg at the price of the Leg with the shorter price.

16.5 Multi Bets placed on the Bet Slip as separate single wagers ("singles") are settled independently, each on its own Leg.

17.1 The maximum payout on any single wager or Multi Bet, including the stake, is AUD 250,000 for AFL, NRL and Australian thoroughbred racing; AUD 100,000 for other sports and codes; and AUD 50,000 for Same Race Multi and Multi Bets containing five or more Legs. Where wagers on the same Selection or combination are placed by the same Customer or related Customers, the limits apply to the total.

17.2 Betabets.CO may set a lower maximum stake or payout for any Market or Customer. The limit is applied at acceptance, and the Customer is shown the accepted stake before the wager is confirmed.

17.3 Winnings above the applicable maximum payout are not paid. Where the maximum has been exceeded through error, the wager is settled at the maximum.

17.4 Minimum stake per wager is AUD 1.00 unless stated otherwise on the Bet Slip.

18.1 A Customer who disputes the settlement of a wager should contact Betabets.CO through the Contact Us page within 30 days of settlement, quoting the bet reference. Betabets.CO reviews the wager against these Rules and the Official Result and responds in writing.

18.2 If the Customer is not satisfied with the outcome, the dispute may be escalated to the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC), which can review the settlement of a wager under Victorian law. Betabets.CO complies with any direction the Regulator gives about settlement.

18.3 Betabets.CO keeps records of every accepted wager, price and settlement for the period required by the Regulator and the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth).
